TURKEY DAY!!!

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving time in Texas has seemed to fly away from me this year. I can't believe we are almost rolling into 2011! So much has happened even in the past month to fill a year. But I think I will keep this post to thankfulness... a lot of what has gone on is so personal. I am very thankful for family even though lately most of them have done nothing but get on my nerves. I always have my brother his wonderful wife and my niece to hang out with when the ppl I live with drive me nuts. Ive been doing a few things with just my brother and his family this year and I like it we are gonna have to do it much more often. We went to the Ren. Fest this year just us 3 and it was so amazing! I loved it, such an amazing day! Then Monday we went to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1, its just fun being dorky and silly. I'm thankful for all the people in my life that have helped me become the person I am. I'm grateful to be LDS to know about life and what comes after.

Perfection

Today was absolute perfection in almost every way. I woke up after a pleasant dream to a beautiful sunny sky, I fixed a waffle for breakfast and there were just enough chocolate chips left in the bag for me to put in the waffle. I got the house to myself(and a boost of confidence) watching "Too Fat for 15: Fighting Back". I weighed myself on the house scale naturally after watching it to realize I have dropped 2 pounds and am almost back to my weight before I started college! Then I ate a yummy grilled cheese sandwich and got ready for work.

At work I found out Heidi and Danielle were closing! And I was on Register 3, which meant I got to do freight! Freight is so easy! We had a big shipment of wigs come in, so basically all I did was tag them and wrap them up! Then Danielle asked me if I could sew, and of course I said yes, I love sewing! So for the rest of my shift I sewed costumes back up. I was also trying my best to make Danielle feel better. I overheard some stuff she was telling another employee that wasn't very happy- and I just had a feeling that I needed to try to make her laugh at least. And I did my best! I just have a feeling I need to be an extra special good example to her. Anyway work was just perfection. Danielle took my spot at my register while I was on break and when I came back early I was just sitting up there talking to her while she checked people out at my register, it was hilarious. I'm going to miss her really bad.

We got off at exactly 10, before I went in I was expecting to not get off till at least 11. That was another happy surprise. I also found a reaffirmation in the youth. There are a few girls there who are really great, and they accomplish it without cussing or having an attitude. Makes me happy.

I had an email from April when I got home, it was short and sweet but it made me happy most emails make me happy :). I would have lost it if there had been one from Lisa- it would have put today over the top. But I love emails from awesome people! Then I got to watch my recorded HOUSE episode! Which was amazing I LOVE HUDDY!...

Oh also gained 2 followers on TUMBLR, made me very happy! Now I'm ready for bed. I have the window cracked with the lovely crisp Fall air flowing through. That was another thing, the weather was so incredibly perfect today! PERFECTION!

The one only thing that would have sealed the deal was if Cookie would have eaten some of her food for me today... she would only settle for people food today.. we will try again tomorrow I guess!

I hope to have an amazing sleep tonight, it feels like a good night. :) Ciao for now!

So I've been thinking..

About this charm bracelet Lisa gave me before she left.. it is so beautiful and one of the most precious pieces of jewelry I have ever been given. When I was first given the bracelet I didn't want to ever add more charms to it because I thought it would take away from the bracelet's "specialness" but I realize now that I think she would want me to fill it with charms that really mean something to me. So I have found 2 charms that I really want and will hopefully get very soon! I love them I can't wait to add them to my "A" and then show Lisa when she gets back IN LESS THAN A YEAR!!!!.. here they are! :) the first one had a dangle that says "music fills my heart" and the other one is the "texas state charm" I want them to be mine!!

And now it is nearly October...

Time seems to be flying away.... off to neverland so it can ironically freeze.

With a new month comes new experiences, I haven't gone through October at Party City- but i hear its not really fun- its a job right and it makes money. Anyway, its not that bad only 3 to 4 times a week.

September has blown by with not much to remember. Nights that seemed too long at work when it really ended up only being 10:30.. when i got home haha. A few times sitting for Emma and many days of sleeping for over 10 hours trying to help my body "heal" from all the exhaustion it thinks is going on.

The one major event of September is my amazing niece took her first real steps! We went to visit her mama and her pups and her of course and she would walk around the entire couch coming around the opposite side with a huge smile on her face like "peek a boo! look what i can do!" She is the greatest thing in the entire world! She's gonna be 1 soon and its going to be a PUPPY PARTY! which is just the cutest idea! She LOVES puppies! I can't wait to see her in her little outfit!!!! It also gonna be fun to see her stuff her face with cake hahaha.

As far as i'm concerned, not much is going on. i am trying to decide what classes to take for Winter... and BYU is just retarded when it comes to that... but i'm hoping it will all work out! Not much else is going on- i did have one really cool thing happen makes me blush but anyway... so we were at a Relief Society social and April walked in and she just said a simple thing that made me so happy haha she had this big smile on her face and was like "Hey! miss relief society!!!" it was like yay im a grown up now! and she legitimately treats me like one, that is the best part- she had to see a lot of my "uglyness" come out when i was a teenager, she helped me through a lot and still does whenever im in a real crisis. She is a real blessing.

Anyway, that is enough for now. Gotta get back to my horror movie... that im watching alone... in the dark .... and you think im kidding.

Ciao for now!

September already?

Where in the world did August go?!

Anyway, so starts a new month, and so starts a new job. I got a job at Party City, for the first couple of days i didnt really like it, and its still kinda weird, but the coworkers that have been there for years have already accepted me- and that makes life easier- i really like the manager Danielle she is hilarious and makes the day go by faster, Heidi too. Mark is pretty cool most of the time but he can be serious too. Anyway, its only until December then it is back up to school! Hopefully with at least enough to pay my rent both semesters! Spring semester is always more expensive since all the snow is gone friends are always wanting to do things!

Also with a new month means that we are one month closer to LISA getting home... I hadn't really thought about her and her family that much in a few weeks, but I had a dream with her in it last night... I guess my subconscious is thinking about her... probably wanting an email back... I wonder how long it will take her this fall break! haha last break i literally only got one email from her! and it was nearly at the end of my break. I suspect the emails will be getting fewer though since at the beginning of next year they only have 6 months left.. i think those are going to be the longest 6 months of my life! when she gets back i will have a few weeks left in school of my junior year. I wonder where they are going to go, I hope they are either still in UT when I am done with school- i kinda hope they are back before july 4 so i can maybe try to see her that weekend, but we will see, or that hopefully she is in TX for something.... i dont even know what visiting old friends they havent seen in 3 years? for their homecoming.. do mission presidents have homecomings? anyway i know i NEED to see her- if she is in UT i wont leave without seeing her there is no WAY!

and that is mostly all the news from me! had some crazy stuff happen at the bank today but that is definitely all i am saying! and some interesting things happen at work(for one i felt a lot more comfortable) i forgot how uhh.... much of a.... rush flirting is.. hahaha

see y'all!

Its all about TEXAS Y'all

So I have been back in the lone star state for a week now- and a couple days- it feels good to be home. It also feels strange to be home too. Especially since I sit here and listen to my Summer Playlist my roommates and I have made for this Summer. Which I just got back from CA having a fantastic time in DISNEYLAND see picture below if you do not believe me : yes that is a little blurry and yes that is us pretending we are 5 years old again- you can't help it when entering Disneyland IT JUST BECOMES YOU! Also any opportunity to embarrass the girls I call some of my best friends and my wonderful roommates I take great advantage of (especially since I look pretty good in this pic hehehe).

So back to Texas. I am without a job currently, which will hopefully be changing in the next couple of weeks even if I have to apply at fast food chains *wince* *gulp* I hope to go application shopping next week while my family is in Utah visiting my ailing grandpa. It's gonna get boring being alone on Tuesday and Thursday w/o my sister and there is only so much dog drool and stinky puppy breath(and teeth) a girl can take! I still really have no idea where I will be going to look- a status on FB may pop up looking for help. But I really want a job soon- not only to pay for college because it sucked to feel like a leech on my parents this year, but also because it will be something to do I will have friends again!.. Even if they aren't LDS.. I'm hoping I can handle that again literally 99% if not more of my friends in the past two years have been LDS. Anyway it will be good just gotta keep faith- pray hard- and try my best to look for opportunity! Also it sucked MAJOR to have 2 roommates up at school without me hardly ever speaking to me because they were too busy living it up in REXBURG IDAHO NO LESS!... I'm not bitter at all still or anything... while I was still in TX sitting for two angels(love those kids to death they are so fun) 2-3 times a week for 9 hours-conversation is not very intelligent when speaking to a toddler( I did learn to speak a new language the ever evasive and difficult toddler speak) it wasn't the same as having a 9-5 job at somewhere like Main Event- but I fear nothing will ever be like Main Event. I do have my family here and life is never boring at the Lord house someone is always doing something or saying something outrageous to get a laugh- then again we may all just be crazy but we like it that way :)

Anyway those are my current rants on the subject of being home. Other than we had a ward split recently- and it was all in my favor this time. I am a very happy girl.

Let it begin: day 1.

oh hai

it is one of those blog while listening to music/ almost time for bed moments.

So we only have 4 weeks left in the semester. And yet again i have come to my annual realizing of how much i have grown in the past year, it still amazes me of how much i need to learn, but i guess it shouldnt seeing as i am only 21.

recent events have made me realize this. i am still learning a lot i know that... as i learned from an experience that happened just last night...

so my weirdo roommate comes down out of no where, being all sorts of dramatic when she came down and this was roughly the dialouge...

weirdo: "autumn, can i ask you a question?"
me: "...what is the question..."
weirdo:"have i done something..."
me: *weird look*
weirdo:"i just get the feeling you don't like me.. and if its because i did something... maybe i could fix it..."
me: *all sorts of weird looks and thoughts crossing my mind such as... 'i could lay you out flat right now... i dont think you can change terminally weird from your personality... believe me you are setting yourself up for something you do not want...'* (nothing actually spoken there until..) " no you didnt" (go back to conversing with my friend on IM and making a very pronounced annoyed look and returning to ignoring her...)

with 4 weeks left in the semester it would have been a very bad idea to just lay her out and tell her she is FLIPPIN WEIRD, she needs to learn a thing or two about being a normal functioning member of society, she is from utah, automatic points lost there..... drama is not my thing get over yourself...

anyway, that situation could have been handled better, i didnt want to lie, which is why im sure i made the weird looks, but i think it was mature to not lay her out... yeah i still have a lot to learn.

anyway, im so excited to be going home soon! i cant wait to be with my family!!!! and having a movie girls night with Sister Woolums!! i miss that woman, she is so great!

peace y'all!

Livin' The Woodlands life...

So this kid in my FHE group that has been hanging out with my werido roommate found out I am from The Woodlands(its a weird story...) and his first reaction was "OH! You're one of THOSE people..." and by "one of those people" he means a stuck up little brat that gets whatever the heck she wants from her daddy, and lives in a 6000 sq. foot mansion where she has people that clean her house and mow her lawn.

This kid has known me for a semester and two months... he knows I don't act like I am better than anyone else, nor do I dress/own things that would put me "above" everyone else. And he comes in and pegs me as a stuck up snot! I was seriously offended, but at the time I was determined to show him that there are people who live in the woodlands who are like that and act like that, BUT most of us just love the mostly safe community we live in(and the awesome perks that come with living in a master planned mostly rich community)

So he tells me the first time he, would expect me to at least own a more expensive computer... yeah I could IF I hadn't paid for it with my own money and my dad catered to my every whim. I'm sure if I was also a spoiled little BRAT whos daddy gave her everything and more I would own an iphone, an Audi of my choice and I would never wear the same outfit twice... but IM NOT, my parents raised me correctly, and I have worked for pretty much everything I have.

Tonight, he came over and was like "hey woodlands..." and went on to say how "funny it is I'm from the woodlands because he being from 'the other side of the highway' in spring(poor part of town) and that is what everyone automatically thinks of people from the woodlands......." my only response was that "but I'm not like that am I?" he said no... and said "congratulations" and gave me a high five..... UGH

so he and my weirdo roommate left for ice cream for about an hour and 20 minutes, and when they came back he said to me "you're still watching tv... still sitting on the couch with your computer..." in a very condescending way, so I just looked at him and asked "is there anything I can help you with?!?" and he went on to explain to me how much better he is than I by telling me that he can only take so much tv, it took a lot for me to not lash out and really become a woodlands witch.... with a capital B.

I'm still proud to be from the Woodlands, always will be.

Quickly before bed.

I just re-read the email I received on Thursday. I never get an email from that person without feeling completely surrounded in love. And feeling the Spirit ,which I know sounds bizarre, but they never forget to bare me their testimony. They are a true missionary and I love them for it. They make me want to be better so when they return I can show them how much I have grown and changed. I still have 14 months to do it!

It also makes me miss them. I can hear their voice with every word I read, and I just want to hug them. I miss those hugs. 14 more months. It will be interesting to see how things have changed by then.

Rant

Can I just say it really sucks to have people annoy me. You think they are all fun and your friend, and then you just get burned out on them. I know I get burned out on people quite easily, there are only a few people I have never gotten burned out on. Not including my family.

There is one person that keeps annoying me, and that could be remedied if they would just leave me alone for a few weeks, but they persistently keep trying to get in contact and hang out with me. Here is how it all started. I was having a day where I really just wanted to spend the day with myself, and decided doing homework all day would be a good way to spend it with just myself and be productive at the same time. So I wake up, read my scriptures and pray. I make myself some french toast, and watch an episode of What Not to Wear. Then I decide its time to get down to business, and I pull out my Educational Psychology homework-I really want to get a good grade in this class(well every class really) so I sit down with the quiz I have to do, and diligently go to work trying to find the answers in my book(its open book of course I wouldn't cheat =]). Earlier I got a text from this certain person asking me what I wanted to do that day(they had already assumed I was going to hang out with them-that was the first strike) and I texted them back saying I couldn't hang out because I had homework all day. I thought okay good I have the whole day to myself now, this is good. So I am trying to read for my quiz, when there comes a knock at the door. This certain person just walks in and sits down on my couch, where I have all my homework spread out mind you, and drops all my books on the floor so they can sit- I'm already a little peeved. They sit down and just make themselves at home. I have Food network on TV in the background noise(its weird but I can concentrate better with the TV than with silence. So this person is sitting there, I had already told them I was super busy with homework and I was going to have to do it all day, and they ask me when the last time I ate was.. trying to get me to go somewhere to eat with them. I told them I had just eaten an hour ago, and that I had a lot of homework I can't be distracted. So they take the remote and start flipping through the channels... I really hate it when people do that, I can't focus. So I told them to change it back. And I took the remote away. So I just ignore them hoping they will get the message and leave so I can concentrate, but no, they just sit there, and worse... they fall asleep on my couch. This peeves me to no end. Thankfully my roommate needed some help picking out an outfit for her class, so I went up to help her and just stayed up there because I needed to calm down.

The next time was a few days later when they did the same thing. This time I was writing an email to Lisa who I really only hear from about 4 times a year. The emails I send her are very important to me, and it is important that I can focus and include everything that had gone on since the last time she emailed me. And to let her know how I am doing, it is stupid(and probably crazy) but its like I am actually talking to her when I am writing the emails and I don't like to be interrupted. So they just sat there again, not having anything to say, just annoying me because I felt they were invading my personal time/space with someone I really care about, and miss like crazy. So thankfully they left before I went crazy. But was also considerably more annoyed by them.

Monday, we meet a group at the park and this person is there. The story is too long and I am too tired to give details, but they were just being obnoxious and trying to get attention and it was just annoying me to no end!

Friday they apparently came over on two separate occasions while I was taking a nap. My roommate was the only one downstairs at the time, and she hates this person, so she didn't answer the door. Thank goodness, I was taking a nap anyway so I dodged that bullet...

I'm just SO SICK of this person, and at current time, there is no reconciliation that can be made, I am so turned off and just done with this person, they also hold no benefit for me, and that sounds *witchy* to say but its true.

Anyway, that is my rant, I cannot wait to get to Utah!!!

/rant

So...

I have had this blog for ever, and never could figure out how to customize it. But now I have and yay! Welcome to the wonderful world that is Autumn.
